We believe that employment and independent living skills are essential to best outcomes and quality of life. RTG empowers students to transition successfully into adulthood through teaching essential life and employment skills in a supportive community environment.
Our program provides education and workplace experiences designed to help young adults transition into more independent living through developing meaningful relationships and gaining fulfilling paid employment.
Our Story
When our daughter graduated from both high school and then a 2 year transition program, she still lacked the skill sets she needed to have a real job and navigate herself independently. We were well aware of the grim statistics for autistic adults in the job field and that the majority of adults with autism continue to live at home with their families throughout their adult lives. We were fortunate enough to be able to create our own team and program to focus intensively on foundational job skills and life skills and today our daughter is employed at a job she loves and is living independently with some support.
Time is of the essence for young adults and their families who are often unaware of the lack of services that exist once they turn 22 and no longer have the umbrella of their school supports. Run the Gamut is the bridge to reaching the next level of “adulting” and while it may look different for different individuals, the intensive job training skills with real internships and employment opportunities, and the practical and practiceable life skills in riding the T, doing their laundry, grocery shopping, and participating in social activities with other young adults with ASD opens up many doors for gainful employment and a robust, purposeful life.
The Reality of Adulthood on the Spectrum

of adults with autism or intellectual disabilities face lifelong unemployment, the lowest rate among all disabilities.
